Jave
I'm trying to track drums with this 4 input mixer into logic. However, in Logic, when I go to create a new track or check my I/O preferences, the device itself doesn't show up, only USB Audio Codec. When I try to use USB Audio Codec, there are only 2 available inputs to use, and they do seem to pick up sound from the mixer. I do really need to use all 4 inputs though, so does anybody know how I could have this mixer properly interact with Logic? Thanks!
David Nahmani
It sounds like USB Audio Codec is the name of the driver for your mixer. And it sounds like your mixer only offers the functionality of a 2 input audio interface. A lot of those mixers do that: some have many inputs but can only send a stereo mix to the DAW. You could contact A&H to confirm. Any particular reason you're using a mixer with Logic? Logic already has a mixer, so in most cases all you need is an audio interface with the desired number of inputs and outputs, then you can use the Logic mixer for all your processing, EQing, compressing and summing duties. Ah okay. I was using the mixer more as a stand in for a 4 input interface since I don't specifically have a 4 input interface. In this case is there any way to get 4 simultaneous inputs with this or my other 2 input interfaces?
