DarkAndy
Does it include any new drummers too?
gkillmaster
I was getting these updates too tonight, but it failed when it got to the end of the download saying that LPX was not able to complete the download. Was your download successful?
David Nahmani
Does it include any new drummers too? No new drummers. The only way to get new drummers would be to update Logic Po X, this is just a content update. Was your download successful? Yes. However I don't see any changes, and I have no new settings in Drum Kit Designer. I was hoping for new drum kits, but I guess they're just updated drum kits. drb
Hmm, problems.. I got no error messages. But when closing and reopening, it's like I never downloaded anything. It wants to do it all over again. ??? drb
gkillmaster
I've heard others are having this issue in other discussion forums. I think my issue is related. I'm just lucky and get the error message. Of course I was working in LPX when I was trying to download updates...

Eriksimon
Here it started to download three eh... kits? The R'nB kit failed, but two were successfully finished, and I can see some evidence of new (or just reinstalled the same? See date modified and date created...) files... Assessor
I think this is very strange. I downloaded the three Drum kit packages the manual way (described in other threads). Almost 4 GB. I opened them with Pacifist. I compared modification date and privileges with the original packages I downloaded earlier. I could not find any differences! To me it seems as you could pass on these ones. ???
Eriksimon
I compared modification date and privileges with the original packages I downloaded earlier. I could not find any differences! To me it seems as you could pass on these ones. Because all my samples are on a second disk, I could easily compare old & new (as they're being installed (no choice) on the system disk), and there are differences, albeit subtle/not spectacular. LATER EDIT: I compared a few more, and it seems I "got lucky" with this one example, because all other newly installed drum .cafs indeed appear identical to the old ones (exact same number of bytes in the "get info" window, identical creation date). Assessor
Well since I haven't installed anything yet I can't do the same comparison as you, But I compared the three installers that I downloaded and they are identical as far as I can see. Eriksimon
Yep. Looks like they (=Apple employees responsable fort the Appstore content) screwed up. I'd hoped to see Benny "the prodigal drummer".
drb
I confirm assessor's claim. Byte by byte comparison using cmp on the command line says the installers are identical. drb

Eriksimon
I confirm assessor's claim. Byte by byte comparison using cmp on the command line says the installers are identical. drb Thank you for your confirmation! To be clear: I confirm this too. The difference in that particular .caf on my disk I (cautiously) reported earlier was probably due to different permission settings, and different "open with..." setting, both of which I set on that file. All other pairs of files, which I didn't touch, were identical.
