David Nahmani Posted November 21, 2013 Share Posted November 21, 2013 You could have both sessions open simultaneously, yes. You can disable the audio engine (under Logic Pro X > Preferences > Audio) if necessary, to avoid your CPU freaking out. Or you could select a MIDI region and choose File > Export > Selection as MIDI File, then drag the MIDI file in the workspace of your new project. A third method would be to open the new project, and use the All Files Browser to locate and "open" the source project, which allows you to see the project's individual tracks in the AFB and import just what's needed.
