Revs
I had used this synth plugin in a project, thing is, the synth wasn't mine and therefore Logic can't find it now. It just displays the red little exclamation mark and doesn't play any sounds from that track. I'd like to purchase that synth now, but I need to know what the presets I used were called. You can buy preset packs for the synth, and I'd like to buy the right one, with the sound(s) that I used in it. I haven't found any info on the presets in the project window(s) or in the project folder. But the information must be saved somewhere, because if I'd install the synth again now, it would play the exact preset to which it was set. (I've done this before when re-installing plugins) I can't ask the person who owns the synth either what it was, because, well… only Logic knows what preset it was And I can't load the project into someone's Logic who owns this synth because that isn't possible at the moment. I hope someone knows a trick or a solution
Jordi Torres
That information is stored in the project file itself. You may be able to find the preset name by: Control-clicking the project file and choosing "Show Package Contents" Once inside, find the "ProjectData" file in Alternatives > 000. Open the file in TextEdit (in your Applications folder). Use Command-F to find the preset name. Here's some examples: viewtopic.php?p=533034#p533034 J. Revs
Thanks, I tried that but unfortunately it didn't work for me Between it only says "untitled", is that perhaps because it was already converted to a Logic X project? (it was originally a Logic 9 project) I tried doing the same method with a Logic 9 project, but I don't have any of all these folders you mention, I only have one which is called "LgDoc". That's the one to look into in Logic 9 project files (like in the thread I linked). Inside that folder you'll find a "documentData". Open it in Text Edit... is that perhaps because it was already converted to a Logic X project? I doubt it. It could simply be that plug-in preset name is not readable when opening the file in TextEdit (it maybe encrypted or who knows what). J.
Revs
Had a look there but no luck sadly. Nah I guess this plugin just doesn't save the name, I've looked for names of other plugins and they were there. No luck I guess
