Selling Waves v8.0 Plugins

Hi. I am brand new to this forum, as I just purchased Logic X. I have some Waves plugins that I am trying to sell on eBay and I am looking for some intelligent advice on how to sell them. I checked the Waves license transfer policy and they require a v9.0 upgrade prior to executing a license transfer. The street price for the plugins that I am selling is $1900 combined. The Waves v8.0 to v9.0 upgrade price for my group of plugins is $365.00. The buyer of my plugins would have to pay the $365 upgrade fee to v9.0 plus what I am charging for the plugins. I am selling Waves Renaissance Maxx, Waves CLA Classic Compressors, Waves SSL 4000, and Waves L3 Multi-Maximizer. Does anyone think I have a market for this sale, considering the mandatory upgrade fee?

Thanks for your support.

Honestly, I own almost the exact same plugins from Waves, and what angers me is that they offer these "Priced Down" specials de-valuing the resell of them. EX: I purchased the Studio Classics Bundle 2 years ago for $1100 USD, and now I get Mail Blasts offering it for $600, I can either Upgrade (with waves update plan WUP) or try and sell them at 1/2 the price Plus Transfer fee. I'm at a loss all together.

Having the Renaissance Max, Studio Classics, Vocal Rider, CLA Compressors, CLA Signature, Kramer Master Tape, One Knob series, and Waves Tune Bundle.....After Spending Literally Thousand'"S" on Waves stuff, They are now all cracked and all over the internet, so NO ONE would buy them from me.

I hate to be a "DOWNER" but it looks like theres just no value in the waves stuff, (At least to me) I am mostly using my UAD-2 now, I really like the emulations better, sonically anyway... They are still at a high price point!

Hi JettWatkins: I have long-winded advice: Only sell these awesome plugins if you must: Unfortunately, I have to agree with NorthStreet: The plugins were already expensive to buy: It's that transfer and upgrade fee that dissuades used-Waves plugins buyers, so eBay buyers will try to crater your asking price, no matter how generous your original offer is. What I would suggest is this: If you have an extra machine that you can use for cutting/DSP/Mix/Master work, especially something just for you should keep it and your Waves plugins just for that. I have a couple older Pro-Tools rigs that I keep just for utility purposes -because even though it's not a "composition sequencer" I can can still cut audio faster and with fewer moves on a 2001 G4/Digi001/PT6.4 system than in Logic. There are new emulators that really sound great, but what happens in 5 years? It'll be "you have to record in 192/48 bit, no wait now it's 384/64 bit audio, wait 1Gb/1Ghz audio files..." It will never end (cough...AAX!...) Personally, if I were starting over, I would buy just one or two non-disposable pieces of outboard gear (Manley, TLA Audio, etc.) and the least disposable audio interface from UA, RME, Apogee, etc. Something small but incredibly useful. No more iLoks, what's yours is yours. PS: Kudos to Waves for seeing the light, but for many others: Can you imagine a Steinway or a Gibson not working without an iLok? A violin needing a firmware update? :?
