Yannickbi
Hi guys! I really love the new group functions in logic pro x, makes it a lot easier to mix! but i don't really like that logic creates automatic auxiliary tracks, if you want them or not, with their own system... I sure want to have my auxiliary tracks, but i don't wanna have a automatic bus track to every new instument I add! Is there any way to get rid of this function? Thanky you! Yannickbi
Hi Jordi! Thank you for the link! eric's way sounds pretty good, but it just doesn't seem to work for me, i deselected that "send" button, but there are still these buses, on the old tracks and on new ones... what do i have to do to approve/save my changes, that i won't have these automatic busses ever again? Thank you very much for your quick answer! BTW i am from Basel
Jordi Torres
Hey, Yannick! i deselected that "send" button, but there are still these buses, on the old tracks and on new ones... Just to be sure, the automatic auxiliary channels you're talking about are the ones that are used for effects by some of the patches in the Library, right? If that's the case, disabling that "Sends" button in the Library's "Enable Patch Merging" box will indeed prevent the patches from loading with their associated send effects. It won't, however, remove aux channels that were already loaded, that must be done manually. BTW i am from Basel Cool, I've been wanting to visit Basel for a while now...I think I'll go check out its Weihnachtsmarkt this year. J.
Yannickbi
Yes, exactly you are right, but my problem is, that i don't wanna have these automatic auxiliaries at all! this way is good if you often change your patches on one single track, but this is not my problem! i don't wanna have the sends AT ALL! i don't want logic to create its own bus-system for me, cause i got my own! and i don't wanna delete every single one and do this over and over again with every track! i made a little video, that demonstrates my issue: http://youtu.be/f6qVdpxC9kY hope you can help me!! Cool, i am sure you are gonna like it!! Yannick
Jordi Torres
OK, I see what's happening. Unchecking the Sends button in the merge window is not working for you because you're actually creating new tracks each time. This function works when changing patches in an already-present track. Those sends are part of the patch that is loadind by default when creating a software instrument track. You can stop this from happening when creating new software instrument tracks by: Clicking the "Details" disclosure triangle in the New Tracks dialog and unchecking "Open Library"....or, by changing the default patch to a patch that does not contain any sends (your own custom patch or channel strip setting for example). To set a patch or channel strip setting as default, control-click it in the Library and choose "Define as default". J.
Yannickbi
Thank you man, that helped a lot! I created a new channel strip without any busses and saved it as default. So now if i start with a new project, i have a default with no sends and if i deactivate the "Sends" button in the "Merge following when loading Patch" menu, and i never have to deal with automatic busses again! Thank you very much! Yannick
