jwharton
I have an annoying pop at the beginning of one audio region (lead vocal). It doesn't occur if I start playback a few ticks before it, however if I start playback from farther back, it does happen. I have another issue where audio on that track is dropping in late (cuts in mid-way through the region). I will start another thread on that but mention it here in case it is related. BTW, this project got corrupted (happens a lot for me), so I started a new one and re-imported everything. Since that time I haven't seen nearly as much weird behavior, but I've still seen some. Cheers, Jonathan
triplets
Do you have plugin delay compensation set to All? If yes, which is good, then the issue could be a plugin.
jwharton
Plugin delay compensation is set to All, however it has a 5ms limit. Could that be an issue? I've just BIP'd it and turned off Flex Time, and now the issue is gone. Still curious about the plugin delay compensation though.
triplets
Having Flex Time going on a track that also has effects could be causing that pop. Always BIP a flexed track once you like it. You can always go back to the original muted track if you need to change it later on.
jwharton
Good tip, thanks! I should correct myself: it was flex pitch, not flex time. Probably has the same effect though. I struggle with BIP'ing because no matter what I do (turning off plugins, by-passing plugins, etc.) I end up with a stereo file from a mono source. It bugs the heck out of me. triplets
Make sure you don't have a stereo plugin inserted on that track.
jwharton
Never mind about the plug-in latency limit setting. I just finished RTFM and now see what the slider is all about. I get it.
jwharton
Make sure you don't have a stereo plugin inserted on that track. I'm going to guess that inserting a stereo plugin turns a track from mono to stereo, so even if you bypass it you're still dealing with a stereo track when BIP'ing. Thanks for this tip, too!
