Question on Spacebar as Play/Stop

I'm very new to Logic and Macs. I would like my Spacebar to act like the Play and Stop buttons not like a Pause button. When I stop playback I would like the playhead to go to the last locate position when I press spacebar. But spacebar stops the playhead wherever it is. Can I get the spacebar to act as a Stop button as opposed to a Pause button?

I haven't tried to change the key bindings for fear of messing things up. My other issue is I don't understand the key commands page. It shows symbols for the keys, but I don't know what those symbols mean? Which symbol is the spacebar?

Yes, you can assign the spacebar to the key command "Stop or Play From Last Position".

Or you can control-click the play button in the Control bar and choose "Play from Last Locate Position".

David - thanks for your quick reply and thanks for the handy symbol chart. I was able to set spacebar to stop and go back to last locator - that works great.

A "pause" is still useful, and I noticed that the "." key is supposed to be pause. But the "." is preceded by the "learn by key position" symbol, which I don't understand. When I press the "." it does not pause. It instead goes forward and keeps playing. How do I get a key command for pause?

I still don't understand why or what the "." key command is for.

The "." key command does NOT refer to the "." key that is just below the "L" key, but to the decimal point key on the numerical keypad, the "." below the "3".

In other terms, you need an extended keyboard (one equiped with a numeric keypad) which the MacBook does not have...
