Why audio samples don't sound the same in sampler?

Does anyone know why this is so??

 

My audio samples in the wave editor sound how I want then to sound, but when I use the sample in the EXS24 and play them on a MIDI keyboard they sound different.

 

As in, not the right pitch, or some of them have a lot of white noise added to them.

 

Please help??

If you map one sample to C4 but play a D4 on your keyboard, your sample will be pitched up 2 semitones. I'm not sure about the white noise though. It might have something to do with the sample rate?
