recording drop-out

I want to record short vocal passages while looping the sequencer. Every-time I hit the record button there is a short drop-out which is irritating for the talent. Why is this happening and how do I fix it? regards Ode

Do you mean you're using the record toggle key command to punch in and out? Or just the regular record button/key command to start recording?

mouse click on transport / record button on 01X. Both have same effect.

record toggle key command also causes drop-out when punchin in and out.
