Duplicated Apple Loops in Library [SOLVED]

Hi there,

One more question. I have installed all the Jam packs for Logic Pro 9. But I have duplicated copies for most of the loops (for example 60'sShuffledrums1, 60'sShuffledrums1). What I actually mean is that most of the loops appear twice in the library.

As far as I know the directory that Logic Pro 9 'sees' for Apple Loops is Library/Audio/Apple Loops right?

But also in the Application Support of Garageband, where an Apple Loops folder exists. So possibly Logic also 'sees' that folder?

The specific folder has three folders inside it: 1.Apple loops for Garagaband Jam Pack, 2. Jam Pack 2 - Remix Tools, 3. Jam Pack 3 - Rhythm Section.

The problem also appears and in Garageband. Does it also see these two Apple Loops directory? Should I erase these three folders in Garageband? Or the ones with the same name in the main Apple Loops directory? Should I reindex the libraries in both of the software?

Any advice would be truly appreciated...

Thanks much in advance...

Cheers

Tony

No, for Logic to "see" Apple Loops they have to be indexed, and you could index loops residing in any location on any volume connected to your Mac.

You could consider deleting the index files (/Library/Audio/Apple Loops Index/) and re-indexing the folders containing loops.
