activity monitor question

Recommended Posts

If i want to have logic running and nothing else..should the activity monitor only show Logic as being active? i notice (after disabling everything in the dock) that there is a ton of things apparently running in the background.. not using any CPU mind you but "threads"? is this unavoidable or should logic be the only program i see, ideally?

You will have to live with it.

Logic is just an application running on top of a complex operating system with several layers.

There are some apps, services and other threads that mud be running. Even the Finder is an application.

You can of course turn some of these services off, like networking etc, but quite frankly I don't think its worth the hassle.
