And you are sure that it isn't a take folder?

the option of 'Convert Regions to New Sample Track' is not there.

Where are you looking for it? Have you tried looking for it in the Track menu? Is it grayed out, or just plain missing? If it's missing, make sure you select Show Advanced Tools under Logic Pro X > Preferences > Advanced Tools.

I highlight the selected parts of the audio track i just recorded. I right click, and there is no "convert regions to new sampler track option". It is completely missing.

I have logic 9 atm, and "advanced tools" doesn't show under Preferences.

At the very top of your screen. Fourth menu.

Yeah.

I just worked it out - i right click on the selected audio tracks, and it's way down on the list now:

Right click > Convert > convert to new audio track.

It's weird cos it used to be right at the top.

The only thing that's changed lately is that i upgraded to Maverick OS, could that be the variable??

I right click, and there is no "convert regions to new sampler track option". It is completely missing.

When you right-click, the items you see at the top of the menu are the recent items you've selected in that menu. If you haven't recently used it then right-click and choose Convert > Convert to New Sampler Track.

Now try to right-click again, and it will be at the top.

Hey guys I'm having the same problem where selecting regions of audio doesn't give me the option to convert or anything. I've activated all the advanced settings and closed and reopened logic multiple times so I'm having a hard time finding the problem.
