looping in logic

question say i have a track in the arrange in an audio track say an accapella ..i want to chop off the first word and loop it well after i press loop all regionsi loops turn grey and i cannot move them around .how would i make theese regions ungray so say i can take one copy of the loop and move it to a different rack to add different effects to it ?

Try Region > Parameters > Turn Loops to Real Copies (Key Command: K).

Make sure you follow the exact menu path I gave you. Many menu functions are almost the same but do something completely different. It should work if you are indeed selecting a looped audio region.
