i am using logic pro X.

i am new to this software and the mac world.

please be gentle.

i have some voice recordings generally 1-2 hours long.

i need to clip portions and bounce them to mp3.s

the clips are normally 1-3 minutes

currently i am using the marquee tool to highlight areas then bounce in place to a new track.

From there I select the new track and bounce to mp3

This gives me what i want but it seems overly time consuming.

Is there a better way?

Thank you

No need to bounce in place as I see it. Just make your selection by dragging in the ruler. The yellow cycle bar will appear. Adjust the beginning and end points and bounce an mp3. Of course if there isn't silence in-between the bits you want to bounce the beginnings and endings will sound abrupt. If that's the case you can automate the volume of the track to fade up and down in between accordingly. Or just chop up the bits and spread them out and use the fade tool on the ins and outs.
