Hi, I have an Allen and Heath K2 midi controller. I want to assign 1 row of Buttons for selecting midi sequence in Ultrabeat. You can do this by sending a mini note C-1 for the first sequence, but how can i map this on the controller?

Many thanks, this is driving me nuts!

Hello and welcome to Logic Pro Help.

Click this link to your signature and add your system information:

• Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic 10.0.5)

• OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS 10.9.1)

• Computer (e.g. MacBook, Mac Pro, iMac)

• Processor (e.g. 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo)

• Memory (e.g. 2GB)

• Audio interface manufacturer and model (e.g. Presonus AudioBox USB)

• MIDI Controller manufacturer and model (e.g. M-Audio Axiom Pro 49)

(most of that information can be found by choosing Logic Pro X > About Logic Pro X, and  > About This Mac)

That would depend on the controller. Can you configure which MIDI notes each button sends or is this fixed?

If there's no way to change that on the controller you'll have to remap the notes to the ones Ultrabeat is expecting to receive to switch patterns. You could do this in Logic's environment using a single transformer object.

But before you do any of that, you need to know (or write down) which notes each buttons sends.
