Puredata + Logic Pro X

Hi all,

 

I am trying to use my joypad plugged into my mac to trigger sounds from Logic Pro X, basically i want to use m joypad as amini drumkit, ie press a button and it triggers a sound from logicpro x. Is this possible in logic pro x? I can see lots of tutorials on youtube but little within Logic Pro x

Hi,

 

Logic will understand MIDI messages. If you can get PD to translate the codes from the joypad into MIDI, you'll be in business. Logic won't care where the data's coming from as long as it's MIDI.

 

You'll be needing the [hid] object in the extended version of PD to do this kind of thing.
