stanton119
Im using Logic Express without an external soundcard (cant afford one). I am trying to record bass guitar through a mixer into the built in line in port on the back of my iMac G5. The recording is always out of time. I have managed to compensate for it, by recording the metronome back into another channel, and finding the differences between them. However now the recording start at the right point but dont stay in time throughout. This many happens when playing semi-quavers. They dont always stay in time. Are there any settings that I can change to improve this?
David Nahmani
If you're suffering from latency, you can lower the i/o buffer size in Audio > Audio Hardware and Drivers but the delay should be constant. I can't think of any reason the delay would vary as the recording progresses using the built-in audio input. Is your mixer analog or digital? Are you using any plug-ins at all in the session?
