bryla
or something to that effect, is the painful message I often get on my Powerbook. The problem is I get it while playing a sequence to a live band, whilst sending a click-track to the musicians. I tried to bounce it all so that it left me with audio-files only, but still the same problem. Anyone here knows how to solve it?? Thanks Thomas
David Nahmani
Choose Audio > System Performance and observe your meters when you're getting the alert?
bryla
since i'm only using those three audio tracks both the audio and disci/o meters are barely 20% each, but whenever the error occurs the audio meter jumps to over 50-60% with the message following: Samplerate 34847 recognized. Check conflict between Logic Pro and external device. Both logic and my fireface800 are running with 44.1 samplerate

How are you sending a click track to the band? Once you have all your material recorded, pan all but the click track to one side and the click track to the other. Once you have bounced it, you can send the music out to the mains and the click to the band. The bounced MP3 can be played back from an iPod, a minidisc, a CD, etc. However, doing a google search for the phrase "Check conflict between Logic Pro and external device." Will turn up a few results on this topic. http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=9453 It seems the problem is the interface or a buffer size setting. bryla
@Asher: Done that several time with no improvement. @Shiver: read my post I use my multiple outputs on my FIREFACE800, 1-2 sends out my STEREO backtrack to the mixer, while 3 sends a bus with click+counting+backtrack to the drummer, 5 sends another bus for the bassplayer and 7 for me. This method ensures me that each player can get seperate mixes, unlike your proposal. Also I tried different buffersizes... but no

However, at the time of my posting, I was not aware of how you were using your interface. Regardless of it's use, the problem still exists. Not having the unit to experiment with, I can only suggest looking in the areas of Clocks and Sync. If possible match them up or shut them off. Most of that is for the ADAT/optical type usage. If everything is audio (including the click track) then you should not really need the sync or clock functions.
