I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but I only realised yesterday that the Luxonix LFX 1310 AU has FINALLY been released as a UB. This multieffects unit was always one of the very finest free plugins back in the pre-Intel days and I'm delighted to have it back.

but it does show up in the menu in logic. any more help?

I assume you wanted to sat it does not show up

Ah .. weird

Where did you get this king dubby plug-in?? Are you sure it's AU

Open the AU manager see if it passed Logic validation (should give you an error message when opening Logic if it doesn't)

I'll say something stupid but are you sure you're looking in the AU menu when you want to insert the plug-in?? It won't appear under Delay, near the stereo delay/tape delay etc, but at the bottom with 3rd party plug-ins

After a couple of months of waiting, NI's new free Kore Player is now available as a UB AU.

KORE PLAYER is a free software instrument designed for use with KORE SOUNDPACKS. Built on the same principles as the flagship KORE 2 Super Instrument, KORE PLAYER includes six Native Instruments sound engines under the hood and provides ready-to-play sounds that can be browsed and tweaked via the ultra-intuitive KORE PLAYER interface. Adding new sounds is as easy as purchasing and downloading affordable KORE SOUNDPACKS.

Selection of 50 free premium sounds included (300 MB)

Here's the link, muchachos:

And another brand new freebie!

TapeHead Medium is a saturation plug-in. Make your drums fuller and louder, add some grit to vocals, ...

Notes:

The generic Audio Units view is used -- no graphical interface.

The algorithm is sonically identical to the Pro Tools plugin set to the "middle" tone position.

Like the Pro Tools versions, the input and output signals are limited to 0.0 dB maximum.

Only mono and stereo I/O configurations are supported.

Hey, I desperately want to get Airy's au303 to work in Logic Pro 8 but I can't seem to get logic to recognise the plugin? I've copied it to the right directory, where I've copied other plugins and it's worked fine. Logic just doesn't pick it up?

I had a play with a tutors tb303 at college the other day and I'm hooked!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Many Thanks

Neil.

I am having trouble loading the Bassline plug-in into Logic. I downloaded the file and copied into the VST folder within the User/Library/Audio/VST. Opened Logic and its no where to be found. What step is left and How do I actually open it within Logic? Thanks

Logic doesn't use VST anymore !

You have to "wrap" the VSTi using FXpansion's excellent wrapper

program. Then it works fine.

-

Takes the icing off the cake of a "free" plugin, I know, but it's the

only way.
