backup of itunes files on same hard drive as logic stuff?

getting an external hard drive to put synthogy ivory and DFH superior on. there will be plenty of extra room on the disk since i'm buying a 250. my question is... can i use the same drive to backup my itunes library? or will that cause problems with logic?
