greg
hey guys! just wondering if anyone can give me any tips on how to create a really deep low end on a trance/hard house track. specifically on how to create a hard powerful kick (the standard ones on logic seem to clip to easily) also if anyone has any tips on how to create drops? any help would be amazing cheers greg x
eggman
ultrabeat. play around with pitch modulation envelopes, use compression and equalisation to prevent 'em from clippin', and avoid distortion to keep 'em smoooooooothe... oh, and make sure you've got speakers that can reproduce a solid deep end. kisses. bryla
just an idea, that I yet haven't tried: Try assigning a test oscillator to an audio instrument track producing a white noise. Place a Noise Gate on the oscillator channel that is sidechained to a bus that has the output of the kick drum. Use a low pass filter cut deep and some kind of modulator like flanger to make it smoother.
eggman
not sure i follow you there... why use the test oscillator, when some many better, more suited instruments are at your disposal?
