Multiple Logic Controls in setup

I have Logic Control connect via midi into 828 mkII --> FW 400 into Mac. Also have Yamaha S90 ES and Novation Remote 61 SL connected into Mac via USB 2.0. Controller setup show 3 Logic Controls, should only show one. When I delete all three and restart, all 3 load again. In audio/midi set up, I have LC connected to 828 mkII. Recently the LC is losing lines and displaying unreadable funky characters. I think there is midi data from somewhere causing this. Awhile back, while saving a file, Logic froze. When I tried to reload the song, error message said, could not load preferences since they may be corruptied. I proceeded anyways. Ever since then, I have been having problems with the funky characters on the LC. Any suggestions?
