chienbleu
Hi I keep finding references to Logic X running 32bit plugins, but my question is whether logic pro x will run seamlessly on a 32 bit computer or not...and in order to avoid any leap of faith, would logic 9 and logic x co-exist happily on one system drive, to allow for optional use of one or the other? Thank you in advance for your reply! M
Jordi Torres
Hi, Logic Pro X will run in any computer that can run at least OS 10.8.4. And yes, Logic Pro X and Logic Pro 9 can coexist problem-free on the same system. J.

Jordi Torres
You're welcome. Make sure your system meets the other requirements for Logic Pro X: https://www.apple.com/logic-pro/specs/ J.

chienbleu
Hi Again Jordi, One additional question related to this thread, to which I am sure you'll have the answer ! - It seems obvious, but since I see everywhere that LogicProX doesn't support 32bit plugins, I am nonetheless assuming that if I am to run LPX on a 32bit computer, it will , by default, support 32 bit plugins? Thak you in advance one again! Very best M
triplets
What computer are we talking about? Mountain Lion is a 64-bit operating system. And Logic X can only run 64-bit plugins, unless you have an app like 32 Lives that allows X to run 32-bit plugins.
Jordi Torres
No, Logic Pro X only supports 64bit plug-ins. You can still use them in Logic Pro X with the help of third party products designed specifically for that. A good choice is Sound Radix's 32 Lives. J.
