controller assignments per plugin

hi all,

 

weird question about controller assignments - i know the answer is in there but still not sure.

 

I want to setup, for example, cutoff and res on the es2 to two specific hardware cc controllers. This seems easy enough and works ok on a single instance, but what I would like is, if i add another es2 to a different midi track, how can i set those assignments to be the same for that instance without having to remap again?

Short answer is that you have to make sure the instrument track is selected when you make your assignments. That creates assignments that will then always work on the selected track.

would that then go for ANY track with the same plugin on?
