danjamrok
Does anyone know if its possible to record midi and audio at the same time. I'm recording a Keyboard player and i want to record their specific piano sound but also the midi info. Any ideas?
Jope
Create an audio track and a MIDI track, arm the audio track by clicking the little "R" button (it lights up red) and then select the MIDI track, record.
David Nahmani
It is possible. You have to always have at least one Audio track selected when recording audio. That's just how Logic works. In that case, that means you need to have both an Audio track and a MIDI track selected. To do that, rec-arm the MIDI track, then hold shift as you rec-arm the Audio track (or the other way around). If you don't hold shift, the previous track will not stay selected (if it's an audio track) or rec-armed (if it's a MIDI track). It should look like this:

Without the "shift-click" the audio track's "R" button remains red and the corresponding input is active, but the audio signal won't be recorded. Sorry, what I told you was just halfway true.
