Automate wifi Bluetooth & notifications on/off?

Recommended Posts

hey guys, this is a super tweaky question, but i'm wondering if it's possible to automate system optimization in a script (via terminal or an app) when you launch Logic and then restore wifi, bluetooth, etc when you close Logic.

i'm on the latest mavericks, logic, etc with Line6 interfaces.

thanks much,

Please click this link to your signature and add your system information:

• Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic 10.0.7)

• OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS 10.9.3)

• Computer (e.g. MacBook, Mac Pro, iMac)

• Processor (e.g. 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo)

• Memory (e.g. 2GB)

• Audio interface manufacturer and model (e.g. Presonus AudioBox USB)

• MIDI Controller manufacturer and model (e.g. M-Audio Axiom Pro 49)

(most of that information can be found by choosing Logic Pro X > About Logic Pro X, and  > About This Mac)

By optimization I mean turning on and off all the things that eat up system resources and interfer with recording audio.

Unless you've verified WIFI and Bluetooth are interfering with audio recording in your system, that's normally unnecessary. At most you could disable Spotlight on the drive you record to (never on the system disk and/or a disk that's being used to store Logic's content).

Where does one find info on how to do that?

You'll find plenty of Applescript scripts using Google.
