John Price
Hello! Can someone tell me how to cut a particular section out of a track without it closing in the section that I'm trying to cut out? causing the track to be misaligned with the rest of the song! I would like to keep the section blank that I'm cutting out without the track shifting!?? I know it's got to be something simple so please go easy on me!!! Thanks John..... LukeDunn
did you try the scisors tool?
peeb
In the top right hand corner of the Arrange Window there's a small drop down "Drag:" menu. You probably have it set to "Shuffle L". Set it to "No Overlap" And the regions will stop shifting left when you cut a piece out
stevecowley
That's true if you're in the Arrange window, but alternatively, perhaps you're cutting in the Sample Editor window? In which case yes, cutting a section will do what you say. If you really want to edit in this window, then you can silence a section instead of cutting it. adrian.roberts
You might also look into using the folder option to organize main sections of your song. Verse, Chorus , Etc. This will clean up your arrange window to some degree and make it easier to move parts around.
John Price
Thanks for all the great ideas! It was set in the overlap setting! I found out if I use the Marquee Tool and highlight the area, press delete it will delete the section without it shifting.....I was editing the track in the audio window.... Again, Thanks for the help...JP...
