Hi Eric, Yes I have used the save copy as also copied the entire audio files to a new template but for some reason after say 10 minutes of it saving ok it starts coming up with that message box. I think it is corrupt some way because I'm working on a new song from the same project session with no problems at all, I just don't know how I'm going to finish the first song now. Cheers

Hi all. I'm working on logic 8 editing a lot off drum tracks by slicing and moving parts into place, things are starting to go a bit weird whereas i go to save and it comes up with a box stating logic cannot save this song, ive copied the files to a new empty template and its still the same so i close down and reopen which it will save for a while then its back to square one. anyone got any thoughts on this please? Hi all, I've been working on a project on my main G5 2ghz machine recording to an external HD 7200 FW 800 but when i take the drive and hook it up to my MBP 233 ghz to do some editing with the comp tracks i can't see any audio waveforms at all, i double click on the comp and there is nothing there and i cant refresh the overview but it will play so any of you guys out there know what the problem is? Hi all, i converted an audio track to score(kick drum) now in the piano roll page whenever i select a note and go to select similar to drag them down to the kick drum note i get the spining ball of death and logic crashes. does anybody else have this problem or ever come across this? Thanks Mark

can you not drag MP3 file into an Audio track and pan it left then copy the whole track onto another Audio track and pan it right? Hope this helps you

Hi all, I'm working with Logic 8.0.1 and i was doing a session last night working on a trumpet part. Through the whole session i would hit Apple S to save as often as possible and on close down i would save it but when i opened it up this morning all the work that i did was gone and it is nowhere to be found on any hard drive as i did checks just in case. Anybody ever had this problem or have any thoughts of what has happened? Thanks Mark

Hi all, Ever since i installed Logic studio i am having a problem in Logic 7. I still have to finish projects in 7 but what i am finding is that i go and name a track for recording and that is fine but when i'm finished recording on that track it won't name the region accordingly, it just name's it Audiorecording001 etc which is doing my head in! even if i go track names to regions thats ok but in the audio window they are still the same. If i go to delete any files it comes up saying (this file is used in other projects) Does anyone know how to fix this? Cheers Mark

Hi all, I have a client who is singing along to backing tracks and there is one particular song where the rimshot/sidestick is really loud so is there any way i can reduce it? Ive gone into the audio window and reduced some of them but it is taking ages so is there anyway of selecting all similar and reducing together? Thanks in advance Mark

Hi all, I just set up a headphone mix through logic 8 which is going to buss 20 then going to outputs 23/24 on my MOTU 24i/o where my headphones are connected which is great apart from one thing, i have no talkback now, before i was using the talkback button on my desk. so can anyone tell me a workaround this little problem? Hi all, Is there any other way of slowing down a songs tempo say at the end of a song without doing it with nodes. can you assign the tempo to a volume slider on the Mackie control for instance where you can do it in real time? Cheers Mark

Hi all, I cant seem to add colours to my markers the way it tells you on page 133 of the manual. the only way i can add colour is by dragging a region up into the marker bar and it takes that regions colour but i want to be able to choose whatever colour i want in the palette. Is anyone else having this problem or am i missing something? Thanks Mark

Hi there, First of all when you record drums you should work at the natural sound of the drum itself, get it sounding as true as you can and this can take some time tuning etc.I'm a drummer myself and thats what i tend to do more than trying to make it sound better with EQ. Once you get your drums sounding nice and not too many overtones then record them and if you have to do a small bit of tweaking after do so but keep it minimal. As for the reverb, i would direct all your drum tracks to a buss where you have it setup with reverb and you should hear it through your headphones. Hope this helps. Mark

I found that out just after posting this but i'm getting like a double sound. sort of like a chorus sound from each track which have no effects on at all, ive checked all the buss/aux channels to see as well. Have you ever come across this problem? BTW the song was bounced in Logic. Thanks Mark

Hi all, I have a song recorded at 135bpm in Logic 7 and what i wanted to know was, how do i speed up the song to say 145bpm,ive tried to increase the value in the transport bar but the audio files stay the same tempo they were originally recorded at, ive looked through the manual but i cant seem to see anything on this. Well now that i think of it, i always used BFD inserted as multi-instrument BFD ALL and i recently changed that to BFD Ultra, that is when the problems started. Im not at Logic now but i will change it back tomorrow to BFD All and see if it makes a difference. Cheers!

Yeah ive been using BFD for about a year now with no problems.

The graphic's card is an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro. I ran the TechTool Deluxe software to check the whole system and everything passed so i dont know what it is.

hi all, Im starting to get weird things happening in Logic Pro 7, if you look at the screen shot you will see. Im trying to add an audio object in the environment and it wont show up properly and clicking on it does't make any difference, i have never come across this before, also i have EWQLSO Gold and when i load it up as a multichannel instrument it shoots the level on that channel into the red and there are no sounds loaded. Can anyone help? Thanks Mark

Hi David, Is this multi instrument template set up for EWQLSO platinum because when i open up say the EW strings1 layer i see on the auxes that in the insert EWQLSO is stroked out and when i go to in my EWQLSO it isnt there as an instrument plug in, also i assigned each correspondeing midi channel and im still getting the problem with the sliders.
