  1. ya it seems odd to me that a bug like this has not been fixed yet, automation is kind of important I would say. At least I know this seems to be a problem for all. Thanks for the replies
  2. now I'm noticing this issue with automation on my sends to bus tracks. very strange, anybody have this problem?
  3. Did you confirm that the automation is set to "READ" ? I read on another forum about people having some problems with some of their tracks automation being set to OFF inadvertantly. ya that's happened to me as well. In this case it did not change to off, it still says read. The easy fix is to manually adjust the parameter on the plug and then the automation will move it back to where it should be. If I don't move the parameter it will just constantly play it at the last position I saved the project as. ie. if I save the project last with the cut off filter closed when I reopen the track will play the cut off closed through out the arrangement even though the automation has it going up and down through out. Wierd huh?
  4. Anyone have this problem? I have automation that for a 3rd party plug (minimonsta) set up in the arrange. I'm basically just automating the cut off of the filter at a certain point in the track. Sometimes when I open the project it won't read the automation and will take a few run throughs until it picks it up. Very strange to me, anyone had this issue?
  5. I looked in the manual and I couldn't find any guidance, only in regards to the hyper editor. Also did a search on here and I couldn't find anything. Does anybody know how to change the grid lines in the piano roll? ie. from 1/16 tp 1/12. I was able to do this on 7 but on 8 I can't seem to find the function. thanks in advance. Seb
  6. This is bugging the hell out of me. I have a track which has some automation on the volume level and after I edit a few of the nodes and replay the region for the level remains where I last left it instead of reading the automation slowing bringing up the level. The track is set to read so I'm not sure why this happens. The only way I can fix it is by turing off the read and then turning it back on again. This is really odd and I don't remember having this issue with Logic 7. Anybody have this problem?
  7. ya I did see that thread just didn't get past the first page. I figured this was probably a common issue. Wondering if maybe there is a better controller I could have purchased?
  8. you can only install the studio effects on an external drive. I recently just purchased a MBP as well and I was hoping to move the jam packs to an external, unfornately you can't do that. I actually just installed the studio effect on my external last night. What I want to know is where do I access these studio effects? do they show up in the apple loops finder?
  9. So this has kind of been an ongoing issue for me. Ever since I purchased the Axiom 49 (even before L8) it has not really communicated consistently with Logic. For instance I have my transport buttons set up to the transform functions through the key commands. For some reason I have to press the transport buttons 2 or 3 times before it picks up the signal. Also some of the assignable buttons don't seem to work at all. Are there known capatablity issues with Axiom and Logic?
  10. Looks like the problem really only occurs with Absynth and FM8, all other plugs are fine
  11. Hey Anamorphis have you noticed that using key commands to scroll through these presets doesn't seem to work as well as scrolling through Logic instrument presets? its kind of wierd, I don't know why it would make a difference. I usually use the bracket "]" key to scroll through, when I use this on say Abysnth it will work on the first key stroke and after that it won't continue to scroll through. not too sure why?
  12. hey thanks so much! I wanted to contribute some of mine own but I'm not sure how to save the presets as .aupreset, how do I do this? That would be great. It's really easy. Simply open your plugin instrument, then go to its preset list and load the first one. Then, at the top of the instrument window, the new header for Logic's plugin windows, there's a drop down menu with a few options, being one of them the Save option. Select it and save it with the same name of your factory plugin preset (if that particular instrument has preset folders, here is where you create them also). After this you should see it listed at the left of the arrange window, inside the browser, as Logic's own presets. Then, it's just a matter of repeating the process for all the other presets. It may take some time for instruments with a lot of presets, but it sure pays off in the end. Hope this works for you, and thank's for your cooperation. OK thats what I was afraid of. That would take time for instruments with hundreds of presets. Will be a work in process for me. thanks
  13. hey thanks so much! I wanted to contribute some of mine own but I'm not sure how to save the presets as .aupreset, how do I do this?
  14. I've noticed that on some of my AU plug ins such as Camel Phat, Octopus (Papen) and surge that the presets for the instruments show up in the Logic window presets menu(the same drop down that shows presets for Logic instruments and effects). I was wondering if there is somewhere I should be copying all of my other AU plug in presets to so that I can have same option with all of my AU plugins (Native instruments, Lingplugs). I looked everywhere and I didn't seem to see the presets for Camel or Octopus in any special place. Anybody have any insight on this?
