Thanks Fries, Good advice however not quite what Iwas looking to do. I would like to import the whole lane / track so I can still edit it. So ,if it's a midi track then I can move the notes around, change the sound if needs be, change automation etc. That of course is not going to be possible if I bounce it SO, I guess my question is,is there a way to save the channel strip, automation and midi info / audio as a single file and so i can import it into another track? Fader 8, could youplease explani what you mean in another way? I hcan pull up the event list but then I am not sure which events shown on the list correspond to the nodes on the screen. Their tech support people just ignored my request / suggestion! Which doesn't bode well for hoping that it will be revised. it actually makes their plugs unusable in Logic sadly. Is there a numerical parameter entry a la Acid or somesutch? I.e. you can select a node then edit it's value? I know you can pull up the eidt window but i couln't work out how to edit each node (perhaps ma being thick here but the automation section in the manual didn't seem to have this laid out. . .) can Logic export a track / lane (so either mindi or audio with fx, automation etc as you can do in Ableton? I have something from one track which I woudl like to use in another later version (I have somehow managed to wipe the automation data tHANKS tS

HI Guys, Hopefully someone here can shed a light on this. I am trying to replicate a filter sweepon a part done on a PC in Logic. FOr various reasons I can't just use the PC version. So I must do it in Logic. Said filter sweep goes from 268 hz to 1363 drops to 669.3 and up to 2779 over a few bars. here's the kicker. how do I input those values into Logic. is tehre really no text input for parameters? The resolutiuon for the automation isletting me have either 177HZ or 334 or similar. Both of which are going to be noticably different. I am hoping that I am just being dumb here but slightly worried that i am not. Part of the problem is that the filter unit I am using (soundtoys filter freak) doesn't account for the fact that the first 100-1000Hz shoudl be where you have greater magnification than the 1000-20Khz region (non logarhythmic?) Anyway I hope someone can help me with this as it's driving me a bit mad. . . Thanks TS

agreed about the network specific iLok thing. It'sa bit of a joke at the moment cosi either shell out for the same plugs again (why??) Or try to find a workaround. Another way that i thought of is to run, say the VSTi plugs on the node machine and then just the FX - altiverb / Soundtoys etc on the iLok machine. In fairness this should be something that logic addresses throught the audio units protocol, no? i.e. perhaps logic sees the node machine as an expre processor and ram bank rather than what seems to be a glorified VST host. It would also be great to be able to 'node' my uad and powercore cards on another machine as they are redudant at the moment using my macbook. I guess OS86 and FX teleport might be a way to go with poco and UAD. F*ck why is it that no matter what I do , how much money i am spending there is always a new problem once you have sorted one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think this in part is responsible for the new gear / upgrade syndrome. Also while I am on my soap box,why the helldoesn't logic have abetter freeze. I can't chopthe freeze function up and rearrange. Do these people even look at what othe software companies are doing? I.e. Ableton. I really wish one or the other would just take all the best features and incorporate them and make the kick ass application that we allknow could be made. . . not that Logic is not cool but the freeze sucks (and for me is very innaccurate) and compared to ableton the automation editing is a real pita however ableton has no curves which is equaly retarded. . Oh well! I can still make music, I guess I have a vision of utopia (for me anyway) peace all TS

Ok I think this should work, When you load up a project it authorises the plugs (Altiverb for example) seemingly one at a time. Therefore if using logic node this hsoudl work, authorise on the main systam then when it asks for authorisation on the node machine plug the iLok into that one. Can anyone using iLok confirmt hat this will work (I am just about to buy another mac mini to run Logic node but it's my iLok plugs that consume the most power, therefore i want to run some of them on the 2nd machine. . . As far as I can see this should work, thoughts? Cheers TS

I have a macbook with a 6 gig drive and bootcamp so at the moment I have about 2 gigs free (which obv. isn't enough) Can someone tell me how to move the stuff (will I break Logic if I do) Surely it doesnt have to sit on the system drive once installed? HI All, apologies another noob question however I can't find this in the manual. I have created a new project, that project has a number of stems and tracks from another project. I have also created some aux channels to send stuff to verbs, delays and various other fx. How do I automate those fx parameters? I can't see a corresponding channel in thew arrange window. I wish to record automation then afterwards edit it with the mouse. As far as I can see this seems impossible however I know it's not so as I had aux / buss lanes in another project I created from an auto load. Many thanks for your help! TS

I would like to see an update as the freeze function doesn't work properly for me (am trying to freeze kore with massive loaded into it and the automation that i have written to the track is playing back differently to the unfrozen version. So, yes by all means make music with what you have got however what I have got doesn't work. . .

The header says a bit. I seem to be unable to freeze the following combo without loads of crackles and bits of automation dropping out (audibly now rather than visually) It's kore loaded as an AU with G Media's oddity as the plugin. No others in the chain inside Kore but i do have some soundtoys plugs in the rack. . . Am I the only one? Thanks TS
