  1. Hi I have Line 6 Pod X3 & Pod Farm 2.5, I can access it using Protools 9 I can't seem to see a way of accessing it in Logic Studio Pro 9 Is there a way? Cheers O
  2. Hi I'm gonna throw PT9 on my MacBookPro and my MacPro. Now I understand that if you throw two soundcards together apple have an aggregate device strategy, but what about software? I'm gonna load PT9 with Logic 9 on my FF800 O
  3. Hi I've have a MacBook Pro 2.2 Ghz. Intel / Rosetta model. Anyone doing any mobile recording with their RME FF800 on this machine? I understand there are some chipset issues for FW connection. I currently have my FF800 working with my MacPro. Not sure what I'm looking for in the chipset area before I pull everything to bits. Cheers O
  4. Hi Im running Logic 9 and SL.6.2 RME FF 800 Kernal Driver 2.64 If Logic gets a bit glitchy, any replay off audio is really distorted. Closing Logic and sometimes a reboot of the Mac is needed to get clear audio again. Occasionaly this occours in other programs, but very often in Logic, like every session, really pissses me off. Anyone else experiencing this kind of thing Cheers O
  5. Hi I've been searching over at the RME forum and website. There's a post there with someone saying they are happy with the new RME OSX.6 drivers with their FF 800. Maybe I'm just having a boy's look, but I can't see / locate the new drivers, so I'm holding of with upgrading to OSX.6 In my FF Settings window are "Mac OSX Driver 2.62a" & "Kernal Driver 2.62" Any advice welcome Cheers Offshore
  6. Hey Guy's. I read your posts and went and opened up logic project again, voila, waveform has reappeared and it's in the bin. I did try the elnarge waveform button Eric, but it wasn't there after the initial recording. I guess it's just a logic thing. After recording the waveform wasn't there. Open project again and it miraculously reappears. Cheers offshore
  7. You got It! Precisely. When I'm recording onto track 2 from the bussed signal from from track 1, it shows up as its recording a wave form / wave file in track 2. I'm just calling audio track 2 an aux track because in Protools you would just create an aux track, but I can't see where to create an aux in Logic. What I'm trying to explain is that I'm sending a signal to track two from track 1, track 2 has the Guitar Amp plug. Press record and it looks like I'm recording my bussed signal to track 2. ie while recording both tracks you get this beautiful waveform in track 2 But when you disarm the record buttons, the wave form isn't there in track 2 and all you can see is the waveform in track 1, But during record you see the waveform in track 2 like I'm playing 2 guitars at once. Cheers Offshore
  8. Hi I am playing a guitar signal into a audio track 1 and then I output that to Bus 1 and that output, Bus 1 is the input into another audio track (track 2) next to it and then output that into your everyday stereo 1-2 outputs through my desk. I use audio track 2 as an aux and put the Guitar Amp Pro plugin to mess around with different effects etc. I record enable both track 1 and track 2, -> hit record. I am monitoring the sound of both tracks 1 & 2, so I get a dry and wet mix thru my headphones. While I'm recording I can see that both tracks are recording a wave form. When I disarm record and monitor playback, the aux track (track 2) is empty of any waveform, but during record it's displaying a waveform as though it was recording it. Has any one got any ideas if Logic can record the waveform in an aux (track 2 in this instance) track? Any ideas would be welcome. Cheers offshore
  9. I'm getting that Pavlovian response. Not before time. Now. Do I wait until snow Leopard or just go with it. MGHM? O
  10. Hi I have just trashed the preferences in STP and seems to have solved the problem. STP has worked recently without trouble, I can only guess a software update has caused an issue. Cheers o
  11. Hi I know there is a Soundtrack Pro forum, but I think this is more of an RME FF 800 problem. I've posted else where in other forums to try and work this out so please bear with me on this one. I am using an early '08 MacPro, OSX.5.7 FCS 2 and all software is up to date. I use a RME FF 800 which works perfectly with all my other applications. When I'm editing in Final Cut Pro and I want to send some audio to Soundtrack Pro to clean up, the LED on the front of the FF 800 moves from "Host" to "Mono" and all the output of sound from Soundtrack Pro sounds like I have about 10 x reverbs on. Anyone experienced this with a FF 800 before? In all Preferences I've made all inputs / outputs to the FF 800 in every application I use. Any ideas would be welcome. Offshoresa65s
