  1. Yup, it works great and it is very affordable. I use it with logic 8 in LC mode. However, I don't use too many of the feature other than volume faders and mute. I use mainly for live mixing.
  2. Thanks for checking. I've gotten used to it. Whether it is normal or not. It doesn't bother me anymore. So far the BCF2000 has been very useful. It is awesome and affordable. Thanks.
  3. This method of using the Mackie Logic Control template has been very helpful. It really makes the setup much easier and easily repeatable. In the past, I've had trouble with logic forgetting/losing the controller assignments that I've set up. Since I can't seem to find the file anywhere, I end up having to reassign each knob/slider over again. Having the Mackie template is much easier. Thanks again Kouly. Questions: 1. Does anyone know where logic stores controller assignments? In addition to the BCF2000, I configure my waldorf microwave II as a controller, but like I've said above, Logic loses the info once in a while. 2. For the Behringer B-control BCF2000, under the Logic Control identity, the BCF can sometimes recognize the difference between channels 1-8 and 9-16 of the logic pro mixer. If one of chan 1-8 is selected in logic pro, BCF faders control channels 1-8 of logic, while when one of chan 9-16 are selected in logic pro, BCF controls chan 9-16. This is an awesome feature. However, sometimes it doesn't do this and BCF simply recognizes channels 9-16 or sometimes 10-Output 1&2 (when there are 16 channels). has anyone noticed this?
  4. I wanted to know if others have encountered this behavior. I have the BCF2000 faders controlling the logic mixer channel volume faders. When moving the BCF faders to increase volume, the faders of logic reach +6 before the faders of the BCF reach its max position. This results in the BCF faders reversing slightly once I let go. It appears that the maximum of the BCF do not match the maximum of Logic mixer faders. Is there a way to fix this. Or is this normal. If it is, what is the purpose for this? BTW, the BCF is in Logic Control (LC) mode and I do not know how to return it to the standard/original mode. Any thoughts? pandes
  5. Update: I received some help from another forum and concluded that it is a problem with corrupted project. I just stared a new project using the same audio files. This worked fine but long and arduous. This issue keeps coming back and, so far, I have not been able to fix it. Here is what happens: The volume of the affected MIDI tracks and the corresponding faders of these MIDI tracks do not respond to automation on playback. The volume and fader, however respond while automation changes were being made using the mouse. All other automation for other MIDI tracks and Audio tracks worked fine. Attempts at correcting the problem: 1. Automation were written either on the arrange window by clicking, by moving the mixer track fader or by moving the mixer track fader with a midi controller. Volume is unresponsive during playback. 2. Changed the MIDI channel. Still didn't work. 3. Created a new MIDI track with a different MIDI channel. This had functional automation for a bit but the problem returned. 4. Created a new MIDI track and assigned the new one to the same midi channel and re recorded everything. Deleted the problematic track. This didn't work. --Seems to be related to the MIDI channel. 4. Shutdown logic and reopend the file. Projects still had the problem. 5. Closed the current project and opened an older edit. This was fine for a bit but the same problem arose. This time on a different MIDI track with a different patch assigned to it. 6. Closed Logic and shutdown macbook. Restarted project an hour later and everything was fine for a while but the issue returned. Does anybody have a solution to this problem? 6. Thanks guavadude. It's one more extra step that slows down the process, but at least it is possible. I will try it soon. PanDesBot. BTW. This issue is solved!
  7. What's up. I'm just getting started with Logic Pro 8 and I'm trying to time-stretch a short sound file which I made by copying a short segment from a larger file. I used the marquee to select a region of a sound file on one track, copied it and pasted the copy into a new track. Then I selected the copy, opened the sample editor and used the Pitch and time machine editor to increase the length of the file without changing the pitch. However, the same segment in the original file is also being time-stretched. Why isn't logic treating the new copy a separate entity? This is how it is in cubase and I'm quite used to making multiple copies of a sound file, treating each with destructive and/or non-destructive edits with the edits only affecting the selected copy. This is generally how I work. Can someone teach me how to do this in logic? Thanks in advance.
