  1. two drum beats.. in unison... flams maybe, but not in unison, should be something you can turn on, not something you can't turn off.
  2. Thanks for the reply, but, the takes feature would leave me with the same dilemma, could you give me one example of when a doubled note would be of any good use, why, if it's just 'recording', do drum machines not work in this way? (neither does any other daw) and why it isn't something that shouldn't be 'fixed'? it's not strictly recording anyway it's sequencing. Don't get me wrong i'm not Logic bashing, it's just iv'e got this great thing here in Logic but i CANNOT program on it, wouldn't you be frustrated? Do you at least see my point?
  3. Ok need to clear this up, i'm not having that "double note issue" others are having, it's when you loop a section and play the same note twice in the same quantized position, it doesn't replace the previous event, it adds another (of the same note) causing phasing. please do not tell me to delete duplicates, this situation does not enable me to write say a hi hat rhythm over a few passes, has to be one take, then adjusting velocities after. not good.
  4. Thanks, seems ridiculous to me, Ableton works the way i want, but i hate the rest of it, somebody somewhere has to know or know why it does this, having two of the same midi note playgin at once makes NO sense, NONE, thats why ALL and i mean ALL hardware and other software sequencers work the same way drum machines do in this respect, erasing the note you overwrite. Logic is the best DAW i've used but i still must program all my drums (and i program 'live' drums using DFH and BFD not loops and other such things) using my old MPC 2000xl, i hate working on the bloody thing now, it's so slow but does enable me to get the feel i want for EVERY stroke by PLAYING IT, not adjusting after with a friggin mouse. (and deleting duplcates! YUK!)
  5. Disable take function when recording real time midi? Replace record NOT replacing the WHOLE SEQUENCE? (just the notes i overwrite) Love my MPC, hate it too. Love Logic, hate it too. Poo
  6. Just wondering if the Logic developers are still ignoring the needs of us old timer drum programmers, or if they have addressed the duplicate note issue when writing drum tracks in real time? Thanks.
  7. just wow! omg and lots of other such exclamations!!
  8. Need to know which version of DFH you are using, i run superior and 2.0 without problems
  9. I am trying to replace the sound on a quicktime clip in logic, i have imported the video file (it's of a band i recorded live) and imported the sound file, synchronized them, and want to make a new video using the desk feed sound and replace the crappy camcorder sound on the video clip. i checked the manual and followed the instructions that said: Options, movie, export audio to movie, blah blah blah, then when the dialogue box with the choice of sound for the clip comes up, i only get one option, the original sound file!!! Please help, i'm sure i'm missing something simple. Thanks.
