1. Simply place your locators over the unwanted section, then select: Edit > Cut/Insert Time > Cut Section Between Locators
2. Have you set your start time? Logic defaults to 1 hour, so it's probably waiting for that.
3. Turn off the Analog control.
4. Suppose you had a bunch of uneven vocal takes that looked like this: Now select all the regions and apply Normalize Region Gain, thus: Make sure you use the Loudness algorithm, not Peak. The regions will have different gains applied to match the target level, resulting in this: Nice and crisp and even. Or you can do it on a track basis. Like I said, experiment:
5. I would experiment with the Normalize Region Gain function before packing the take folder:
6. I found this issue was caused by the 10.4.3 update. I reverted to 10.4.2 and normal service was resumed. The issue affected all projects, not just renamed.
7. The best way is to open your original session, then use the Import data from other projects function to import your new drum tracks.
8. Have a look at this excerpt from my Information Sheet
9. Another method more suited to extending regions is to alt-click and drag the region corner to perform a timestretch. This is destructive, so best to work on a copy. http://i.imgur.com/JBEwNlZ.gif
10. Use Flex to extend the audio: http://i.imgur.com/HEqsVy9.gif
11. Really, how should we call this? That is a gain reduction meter, not a VU.
12. Actually, that box implements their "Motional Surround" technology which claims to offer a pseudo surround experience from stereo. It's a development of RSS which appeared in 1991 and used phase distortion to create an illusion of up/down and even place sounds behind your head. I tried the original RSS when it came out , and wasn't really impressed. I haven't tried "Motional Surround", however.
13. Sounds like your keyboard is transmitting on 2 (or more) midi channels. Ensure that it is not in "dual" or "split" mode or similar.

15. Yeah, in PT language ask for "consolidated tracks".
16. You should probably ask for the individual tracks, not stems. "Stems" are submixes of multiple tracks.
17. Sounds like doubled notes to me.
18. Time Machine gives you complete control over which drive, directory or file you wish to restore. It won't overwrite anything unless you specifically instruct it to.
19. Logic has a pink noise generator in the Test Oscillator plugin.
20. Try the Convert Regions to New Audio Files function, then Delete Unused.
