  1. Hi everyone, I hope there is a way to get back my audio files!!! After hours of work on a project, I decided to free some space by cleaning up the project and deleting unused audio files, however instead of deleting the unused files I have [pretty much deleted all of them! I am not sure exactly how it happened but here are my steps: 1) project management clean up, and deleted audio files 2) from the bin select unused, and then I pressed the delete button on the keyboard. and then..... I must have saved as well, which is what i guess sealed my fate!!! the audio files seem to be there in the folder, but they are no longer in the logic project, and putting them back manually would be a nightmare if not impossible. the tracks that used to host them are still there with plugins, automation etc... so is super weird, if anyone has an idea on how to get them back I would truly appreciate it!
  2. if you press the "internal" button it will switch to "external" which will be your sidechain input. by the way i am trying to using it for the same reason and even though i can do the ducking effect i am confused on why it seems to strongly colour the sound even when all bands are bypassed, has anybody got an idea on how to stop this? so that i can really only effect the band i don't bypass. thanks
  3. i just wanted to add that i have experienced this problem in different circumstances and projects...
  4. sorry you are not invisible, it didn't distort the bass on his own or the kick unless i turned up the volume of either or played them togheter...
  5. all right, the situation is a bit weird... at the moment i fixed my problem with a different timbre choise. but i notice this weirdness in logic in other situation, for example using the same timbre of kick drum in another project: if i turn too much the volume of the kickdrum i get distortion (distortion that doesn't get picked up by any meters!) but i can get alot more volume without any audible distortion by making a double of the channel... how weired? not sure what's causing this though...
  6. i am just hearing distortion, in the channel meter if far from the magic zero point, that's why i am a bit confused.
  7. Hi there, i am experiencing a strange situtation in logic 9... i get distortion on my bassline and kick when they play togheter but i am not cliping either the main output, the single channel or the synth itself... i can't understand what's going on... if anybody has any idea about it it would be great! thanks!
  8. hello there, i have made a tune using logic 9, i now need to export it into protools as unfortunately this is required for a project i am working on. i tried both with the option save midi as format 0 ticked or not ticked but in both cases when i import it into protools it comes up as a multiple midi file, which i don't want! and also i glued the midi track with some empty region so that it starts from beginning so that i won't have to set in protools the starting point manually, but that doesn't work either! the option of format 0 or 1 seems to work within logic as i tried to re-import the midi file and it does come up as a single file with the right option selected but that seems not to work in protools... any suggestions will be really appreciated. thanks
