  1. Checked again, no, the midi channels are loaded into library preset tracks. Wonder what I'm doing wrong...
  2. Would never have got to that one alone... Thanks! Oh, Tried that right now, and it's not working for me. In the Import window, while the file selected, I'm pressing Option and click import (while pressed), but same behaviour - The tracks are loaded into an instrument preset.
  3. Is it possible to import midi into Logic without the automatically creating Tracks loaded with presets? E.g. to empty midi tracks. Doable? Thanks! ^_^
  4. Hi I have this project loaded with heavy instruments, i.e. opening the project takes a while, due to long load time (few seconds) for each of those instruments. So I thought of Freezing these tracks. And did it (using Pre-Fader mode, which should be the full one in oppose to Source Only). And indeed those tracks are successfully frozen. E.g. when I hover the instrument button (in the Inspector), the mouse pointer turns to the Freeze icon. However, although those tracks are well frozen, Still when I open the project, Logic insists to load all those instruments (although they should be frozen...), and the project opening time remains highly long. What am I doing wrong?? Thanks! Booli.
  5. Yes I understood how it works, it just doesn't..!
  6. I can't manage to make it work. It's installed, and exist in the midi fx list. I added it as the last midi fx in an instrument track, press recording, however it seems like doing nothing... Nor the Save button works, neither dragging something back to the project area. What am I doing wrong?
  7. Many Thanks! As it is indeed no longer found in its original links.
  8. Indeed looks like a convenient solution. Can you recommend of a specific good midi freeze plugin?
  9. Thanks man...! Not the most intuitive quick way of doing that, but still. something is better than nothing. Thanks!
  10. Is there a way to modify tracks height of a bundle of tracks in the project area? I mean, - When I grab one track, obviously it modifies its height. - When I press CMD during, it modifies all the project tracks height. However I wish to select only few tracks and modify their height only. Is it possible?
  11. Yes, midi fx. Thanks for the nuance and clarification! Thanks! IAC-bus?? How would I send the channel to another midi bus?
  12. Yes I understood the first time. thank you very much. My question still remains - is there a non-destrctive method?
  13. Isn't there a Non-destructive solution..?? Since I prefer to preserve the region as I played it, although I need to export it as a processed midi file.
  14. Hi I have an instrument track containing midi regions. Although the track includes midi effects (velocity compression) and transposition, when I export the region as a midi file, it does not contain the manipulations. How can I export the track/region containing those midi fx's? Many Thanks! Assaf
  15. Thanks, forgot about this feature. It won't however resolve my workflow, as mostly I first cut the file into regions, and then edit the entire file. Using external editor let me edit each region separately and not the entire file hence effecting all its regions.
  16. Is there a way to refresh an audio aiff file content on a track? The workflow: I prefer to handle a vocal track pitch corrections offline inside Melodyne (I find it both better quality, and more convenient workflow) However even when I change the aiff file (with its pitched corrections) and save it as a new version under the same name, the file content is not really updated inside Logic. (Even when I restart Logic and reopen the project!!) So my best workflow would be: 1. Record 2. Work on the aiff file in Melodyne, and save in place. 3. Now it would be nice if Logic can refresh the audio content in the project. (even if it's sliced into regions) Is it possible? Thanks! Booli.
  17. Hi, Actually 2 questions: 1. What is the difference between saving a channel strip setting and saving as a performance? (seems to me the same) 2. I remember I saw a short youtube tutorial (and wasn't saving the link... stupid me), which obviously I can't find right now, that shows how to save and load a full track stack with all its channels. I can't manage to do that hence intuition probably isn't enough here... Someone knows how to? UPDATE - OK, found the answer for the 2nd one - through the library AND NOT through the channel save as channel strip. Thanks, Booli.
  18. And how can we send Apple our long wish..?
  19. Eric, great solutions, Many Thanks!!
  20. Hi It would be very helpful if a region waveform reflected visibly the region fade (in or out). Best Regards. Booli.
