What do you mean by internatl or external? I record a vinyl record from a turntable?! Standard logic project with 96khz
MacBook Pro Late 2013
I think it could be the USB port, I have CDWriter on the other port, no problems so far when I disconnect that.
Hello!
me again. Today I get more and more errors that Logic detects wrong sample rate while recording at 96khz. My interface is a Prism Sound Lyra 2. I set MIDI to 96khz as well. Anything that could cause this? Happened a few times already? See screenshot
Thanks!
Deleting worked but the counter is still set to three
I do not want to do that for every track. I open a project, record the track fom vinyl, cut beginning/end and bounce to a wav file. I want to save time
Hey!
I made a template for vinyl recording so I do not have to set certain things every time when I open a project (96khz etc). I once accidently recorded a vinyl and overwrote the template file, so I then deleted the wav in the project and saved. Not every time I use the template it asks me for the lost .wav file and it also starts recording with number #03. Quite annoying and I do not know everything I changed from the standard template How can I reset this?
Thanks!
1. Yes but then I have to set it every time to 96 or 192.. sets standard 44.1, no idea where I can change it.
2. This feature is also not saved and I cannot set 41 a standard bounce sample rate to export
Next questions : why does the track time start at one hour?!
How can I change the "timeline" from beats to time in seconds
How can I narrow down a track to only the part where I have music. I mean it includes silent parts after the recorded wav. Difficult to google this^^
Hello!
I am using Audacity for some time now for recording vinyl records professional and I try to switch over to Logic Pro X as the audacity crashes to often and creates project folders with too many small files. I am using a high quality DAC from Prism (lyra 2) and some hifi gear (no explanation needed about hardware here)
Workflow in Audacity was:
1. Creat a project with 96khz/24bit
2. Put needle on Record
3. press record (if leveling/gain feels right/not going into red)
4. wait forever until the track is recorded
5. press pause
6. cut beginning and end
7. save audacity project in a folder and name everything
8. export as .wav in 41k/16 bit to burn on CD (DJing)
9. put everything on my external 2TB NAS drive for archiving and later use
So I want to apply this method to Logic now. First problem: 44.1 project is standard so I have to use my own templete every time I start?
How can I export a .wav in 44.1k when my project is 96k? Do I have to use bounce for exporting?
that is it for the moment Thank you in advance!
