Jay Denson
Two suggestions to make tweaking channels in a group easier. We all know "option - click solo". The same functionality could be applied to mute functions as well. In other words "option - click mute" would apply the same functionality to mutes that "option - click solo" currently has to solos. Also, how about the ability to momentarily isolate a fader in a group in order to tweak the internal balance of a group (where volume is specified in the group setting). You could do this with, say, holding down control and moving the fader. This avoids having to deselect a channel from the group in order to adjust its fader in a group independently, and then having to reassign the fader to the group. Maybe the blue bar below the fader knob could change temporarily to red to show that the fader is temporarily isolated from other faders in the group. Upon releasing the control button the bar would revert to blue. This visual indication would provide feedback that other faders in the group are NOT following the changes - useful if some of the channels in a group are at the other end of the mix window and not immediately visible. I am a recording and mix engineer of many years experience. Thanks, Jay Denson
David Nahmani
We all know "option - click solo". To unsolo all soloed channel strips in your Mixer? The same functionality could be applied to mute functions as well. Option-clicking a M button unmutes all muted channel strips in the Mixer. If you're talking about something else, please detail? CCTMusic
Hi Also, how about the ability to momentarily isolate a fader in a group in order to tweak the internal balance of a group (where volume is specified in the group setting). This avoids having to deselect a channel from the group in order to adjust its fader in a group independently, and then having to reassign the fader to the group. In LP9 use Mixer:Options:Group Clutch. In LPX the function is called Disable Groups These functions temporarily disable all groups without the need to "un-assign". Further, within the Group Settings window (LP9) or the new Groups area of the Inspector (LPX) you can toggle specific groups. CCT
Jay Denson
Option clicking a Mute in the mixer doesn't unmute all muted channels in my version of LP9. Would be nice if it did.
Jay Denson
Hi David. Can you help with this? If I create an aux bus channel strip in the mixer (by sending something to it) and change my mind about using it, how do I delete the unwanted bus strip? I have Googled endlessly but found no answer. TIA, Jay
David Nahmani
Option clicking a Mute in the mixer doesn't unmute all muted channels in my version of LP9. You're correct about LP9. You originally posted this in the Logic Pro X new feature suggestions forum - and Logic Pro X already has that feature.
