genzomendoza
The place that I work for recently purchased an AVID ISIS 5000 so that the ProTools project files that are being worked on in the studios/live rooms can be stored there. As for me, I've been using Logic 9 and 10 for maybe over a year now thought it was fine to copy my worked on Logic Project Files in the said Shared Storage Device but when I tried to open it from there, I was greeted by a bunch of notifications saying there were changes in audio length. Some of the regions went missing and some of them got replace entirely with something else, but some of them were still the same as how they were. Is it because Logic Project Files should always be stored in a Mac OS Formatted storage? Thank you in advance for answering my query. This would help me in my report to my employers. Cheers! Eric Cardenas
Logic uses HFS+ filesystem for many of it's underpinnings. The file system is not relevant when you connect via a network protocol but those protocols will not allow you to use the file system. One workaround is to use a Spare Bundle which you can format as a HFS+. Here's a thread that might help you on the way: Logic X Audio file does not have sufficient access privilegs
