today: can't change stereo pan width...

aaargh. am finishing a huge project, and, for some reason, i can't narrow the stereo pan. when i do what i ALWAYS do (right-click and drag up the center of the pan knob), i've always been able to do this.

 

happening on every logic project; i've rebooted, tried changing back to 'balance', then back to 'stereo pan'. the green circle won't budge.

 

any ideas, anyone?

am using the direction mixer for now to narrow the width, but if anyone has thoughts about why this is happening... let me know! thanx ppl

It should be left-click and drag.

 

Can you individually drag the little white handles?

It’s been touchy since 10.4.5 for me. Harder to grab the handle and sometimes impossible.

Come to think of it I remember someone else mentioning this issue here about a week ago: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=143843

I'm experiencing this behaviour still in 10.5.1 - it seems to happen randomly, but more often on nested or bussed tracks. I can still mostly adjust the pan in the arrange window track view but not in the inspector view to the left. Very odd. Restarts don't fix it - I end up turning automation on when this happens and working like that...

i've never had the issue again since i posted about it last year. wish i could suggest what the cause is...
