fury artist
Hello You Logic Friends I have succesfully run my studio buisness for a few years now using a white 17inc imac ..but due to age and wear my machine has started to give up I am on a small budget to replace my mac and i am unsure weather or not a late 2005 g5 dual core machine can run logic 9 pro or not.. some articles say they cant run it u need (Intel) and others are saying it runs fine.. I have my eye on this machine here, see link http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/apple-power-mac-g5-dual-2ghz--fully-loaded--great-for-multimedia-use--bargain/111863132 It already has Logic 9 installed but i am not sure weather it has been illegally download and is a incorrect corrupt file? if any one can give any help and advice i would be most grateful
n6smith
Logic 9.0.x will run on a PPC G5 as it is a universal binary Logic 9.1.x will not run on a PPC G5 as it is Intel only. The general consensus of opinion seems to be that due to some bugs in the early versions of L9 (Prior to 9.1.x) you might be better off sticking with L8 on a G5 but of course.. it's only an opinion and yours/others may be different. Personally, I'd try and find an Intel Mac and then run Logic 9.1.x...
