sambosun
Lots of users have a whole bunch of Audio Unit plugins. Finding the right one in Logic Pro was and still is a click and scroll fest But thanks to the new AVAudioUnitComponentManager API in Mac OS X 10.10 Audio Units can have one or more Tags. System Tags are defined by the Audio Unit creator and are read only and with user definable tags a user has the power to create own set of tags so our plugins can have multiple tags assigned to them like "scoring", "tracking", "drums", "edm" and what not. This should perfectly go hand in hand with this viewtopic.php?f=41&t=107444 I can't wait to see this implemented into Logic Pro X alongside with an Audio Unit plugin manager window. volition
Would be a great, permanent solution to a long-standing issue. I would use Auganizer, but as I understand it, you don't get the taxonomic options of tagging. I.e. a plug-in being listed in multiple contexts (folders).
