In the mouse tool selector you should be able to use a "slip Mode" function that lets you click in the center of an audio region and drag to the left or right to select a different part of the audio clip while keeping the regions length and position the same. I have looked on the forum and all I was able to find was work arounds! This seems like such a basic feature in pro tools and even in Apple's Final Cut programs!
