strikingtwice
There is something that i love in reason using the bv512 vocoder (for those that are familiar). Basically, it will accept any modulator (which evoc does) and also ANY CARRIER. That means you are not stuck with just the limited synth sounds that evoc has. It is really handy to be able to use a drum beat to vocode a string patch. Is there anyway that i'm missing in evoc to do this or is there any other vocoder plugin that could be set up like this? Rev. Juda Sleaze
You can use any synth if you use the evoc insert instead of the evoc instrument. It doens't have as many frequency bands as the bv512 though.

strikingtwice
holy s Rev., i did not know that. I am going to try it out right now. thanks man. I don't really care about the bands, i was more into the sound. That is exactly what I meant. I think i skipped over that section of the evoc manual. n6smith
+1 OrangeVocoder .... One heck of a vocoding beast of a plugin!!!!
Rev. Juda Sleaze
Cool, hope it does what you want. Use the track oscillator in the filter insert section. Set the sidechain to whatever audio you're using, then set "Analysis In" to sidechain, and "Synthesis In" to track, as in the pic below. I find the ES1 is best for clear vocals, but obviously you can get more craziness going on with ES2.
strikingtwice
I am the happiest little girl in the school yard. Despite being a logic certified trainer for quite a few years now, and doing daily sessions at my local apple store, there will always be something that slips through the cracks. Rev, thank you so damn much.
