football
Clueless how to fix this. I have latest Logic X and OS. Had just completed a bounce in place of the lead vocal I had Melodyned... I decided to undo that move and all hell broke lose. Crashed and can't get the session to open again. Tried everything I know how to do and did a bunch of searches. Closest I came was to create a new session, imported everything... automation, content and so forth... HOWEVER, that damn Melodyne plug with the tuned vocal (and all the other plugs on that track), when I try to import the plugs... BAM! even the new session crashes. The song was done just doing some last minute tweaks. Already approved by the guy that paid me... I was dying to improve a couple things bugging me... so I'd like to get back to EXACTLY what I had and then tweak a tiny bit. May not be possible but wanted to ask for help here and see if there were any ideas. thank you
Jordi Torres
Hi, Things you could try: Make a copy or a duplicate of that project file in the Finder. Then go into the project file package (control-click the project file > Show Package Contents), and replace the "Project Data" file in Alternatives > 000 with the “Project Data” file that is inside the highest numbered folder in the "Project File Backups" folder (in other words, the most recent backup of your project before all hell broke lose). Launch the duplicate project and see how it behaves. If the problem's still there, you could try an older backup. Alternatively, launch the project while holding down the Control key. You'll get a dialog window asking if you want to launch Core Audio or not. Tell it No. Once the project is open, remove Melodyne. Re-enable Core Audio in Logic's Audio preferences and see how things go. Obviously you'll lose your Melodyne edits this way. J.
