tigermaster
he lens sucks now (control/alt draw a rectangle), it doesn not zoom the rectangle you draw anymore, instead it tries to vertically fit a single region to your screen, but if i need to see a portion of the upper region? (for example if i have to sync a couple of sounds) you have to move the scrolling whell to reach what you want, or fix the zoom manually to set your desired view, that sucks honestly, i waste a lot of time because of this. Also it doesn't works well because many times i draw a rectangle on a region i want to be zoomed and it zooms another region instead (the one below or over, dont' remember exactly) is it possible to have the old behaviour back ? i would like to have the window that fit EXACTLY the box i have drawn like it was before. David Nahmani
it doesn not zoom the rectangle you draw anymore It does here. It's not super precise (it never was) but it roughly expands the rectangle you draw to make it fill the workspace. i would like to have the window that fit EXACTLY the box i have drawn like it was before. I wish it was more precise too - but it behaves pretty much the same as before here... although I think I've noticed it being buggy maybe when using track stacks... are you using track stacks in that project? tigermaster
i can't use track stacks cause i use folders a lot. by the way on L9 it was much more precise, or at least in L9 it does not try to center and fit vertically one or more audio regions, that is the main problem for me. David Nahmani
in L9 it does not try to center and fit vertically one or more audio regions, that is the main problem for me. It doesn't do that in LX for me.
tigermaster
?? look at screenshot, the drawn rectangle, and the result, logic 9 was NOT working this way at all. it does not even zoom the right one, as i have mainly selected the upper region and it zoom to the lower one instead. can you please move back this thread where it was? thanks
Eric Cardenas
The problem is related to the new stereo wave representation. Zooming in on the right side of the waveform is buggy. Zooming in on the left works for the whole waveform.
tigermaster
good catch Eric, thanks!! hope they fix that
tigermaster
they have partially fixed this in 10.1 but i prefer the old way when the zoom was zooming EXACTLY the rectangle i create with the mouse instead of trying to fit a track in the screen, it has happen already to me several times that i was going to edit the wrong region once zoomed in cause it has zoomed the region below. David Nahmani
Ok I see what you mean now tigermaster. I agree that zooming by dragging the zoom tool should expand EXACTLY the blue rectangle you draw. Zooming on the upper half of a region now results in that region being off screen. Eric Cardenas
I'm marking this one solved since the original issue was fixed in 10.1: • Dragging the Zoom tool over the lower half of a track no longer sets the visible area to include the track below I have created a new entry with the latest zoom behaviour in 10.1 in order to keep things clean: Zoom tool bug in 10.
