webstersp
We've tracked all our drums with a roland t12+SSD 3.5 drum and did all the work we wanted and we could on the midi track. Now I want to separate each of the drum tracks to audio files and start working on them. I saw a video about this somewhere but can't find it, or any other help would really be appreciated! Thanks! Jordi Torres
And what would the audio be? The output of a software drums instrument, or the sounds of the roland? J.
webstersp
We used the Roland only to trigger SSD 3.5 with komplete 4. So I would like to use the sounds of Steven Slate 3.
webstersp
found it I guess... Is this the best way?
Jordi Torres
Steven Slate 3.5 Oh. That's what the SSD 3.5 was. Can't watch the video right now, sorry. Bounce in place? Or do you want to bounce discreet audio channels? J.
David Nahmani
Are you using multiple outputs in SSD? If you are then you can use Track > Bounce Track in Place and select "Include Instrument Multi-Outputs". Otherwise you could solo each drum one by one in SSD and bounce them one at a time (would take longer obviously depending on the number of drum pieces in your kit). Jordi Torres
Track > Bounce Track in Place and select "Include Instrument Multi-Outputs". I tried this recently and it always gave me a single file stereo file containing a mix of all outputs. Maybe I was brain-dead when I tried it? I do remember having done it before...or so I think. There's also this option: Create tracks in the arrange for each aux associated to the multi.output version of kontakt. Use the Export All Tracks as Audio Files command and make sure you choose the "Multi-Output Software Instruments: One File per Channel Strip" option. Also Check the Add to Audio Bin option and Normalize to Off. J.

Works as expected here, make sure you also select "As Additional Tracks".
Jordi Torres
Works as expected here, make sure you also select "As Additional Tracks". If I remember correctly, the problem I was having was that the "Bounce track in place" option was greyed out. This was with Ultrabeat. I'll try again later. J. Jordi Torres
You want to make sure the track is selected, not just the region. Yeah, most likely forgot to do that... won't believe till I try it, though! J.

webstersp
No doesn't work, my drummer told me that it did work but I only have one audio file!
David Nahmani
Well make sure you follow every direction exactly - it works great here with Ultrabeat, but I cannot test SSD as I don't have it. But make sure the "As Additional Tracks" is selected, otherwise you'll get a single stereo file as you say.
webstersp
Yes it's selected but I did it by soloing each track like you said and it work great. A little longer but not that much! Thanks!
Jordi Torres
Hey, guess what? Finally got to try it out and of course it works as "advertised". I don't know what I did (or didn't do) last time to not have it work...I can't even get the Bounce Track in Place command to be greyed out again.....good! J. webstersp
I must be doing something wrong because I tried with Ultrabeat and same problem. I created a new project, created a software instrument. Choosed Ultrabeat multi output 8x stereo 8x mono. Drag a midi loop I have from Groove Monkey in it. Then I Bounce track in place with include multiouts as aditional tracks and always end up with one file! What am i doing wrong? I tried two different bounce in palce, the one at the top when you select Track -->Bounce track in place. Also tried right clicking the midi track and chose bounce in place (no as additional track option on this one..) Thanks!
seeren
One way to end up with a mixed single audio file even though you checked the 'additional tracks' box is if you don't create the appropriate aux's in the mixer by clicking the little plus button on the channel strip.... Exactly, it won't work without that step. J.
