Route guitar track into real life pedals, back into Logic?

This is embarrassing but I'm having a pretty simple signal flow problem and I can't figure it out.

I have Logic Pro 9 and a Mini Mbox 2 and also a Presonus Firepod.

Ok. So I have a basic guitar track with no plug-ins or anything. All I want to do is output this track to some actual real life guitar pedals I have and input this effected guitar track into a new Logic track. How do I do this. I know this is very basic but I can't get my tiny head around this. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi dgerch, and welcome to the Logic Pro Help forum!

To route your guitar to real life pedals, you don't need to ceate an additional audio track, you could simply use the I/O plug-in.

However, keep in mind that most guitar pedals are designed to receive a high impedance guitar signal at their input, not a line signal from your audio interface. Therefore for professional sounding results you'll want to invest in a re-amping device.

I'm sorry David. I just tried it and I can't seem to make it happen. I'm using my mini mbox 2 and I inserted the I/o plug in on the dry guitars channel strip. I plugged a cable into the left mono out of the MBOX, routed that cable through two guitar pedals and then routed the last pedal in the chain to my MBOXes input. When I played the track all I hear was the ambient noise from the pedals but the track hadn't been routed through them. Is their a place online where I can see a demonstration of this?
