If this is happening also in a fresh new project (not created from an existing project template), check in the Control Surfaces Setup window if a rogue controller got automatically/unduly installed. This could happen when Logic detect some MIDI input data (and interprets same as a MIDI controller connection)…

Couldn’t part of this be achieved with an Event List editor window?

Honestly, I love the vintageness of these! I hope they never disappear. They represent the history. Art deco, victorian or classical architecture remain with their artistical beauty and bare an additional historical dimension. To me progress isn’t about scrapping what was or have been.

I support your comment. Not everything is about money. Besides, I totally agree! AI is already impacting a lot and that's just the beginning.

Music is a living experience. Even if AI could create it, it won't live it. Hearing music on radio is one thing. Being beside someone playing the instrument with emotion is a very different living experience. Playing along with another musician is an even higher communication level experience. If AI is (or will be) able to apprehend on the fly the musical feeling of an actual musician, the reciprocal will not be there until AI materialize into something like an actual human presence resonating to his peer. IOW, music experience isn't just about sound but what is around it... Very likely indeed!

I find that is sadly true... The collective creation mood that could only occur in the spontaneous spur of direct / presence interaction is lost... I guess other creative processes has to take place. Nevertheless, my gut feeling is that something is missing... (besides the rampaging drummer warming up )
